Crémant de Bourgogne
Métisse
Métisse, the half-blood sparkling wine from Burgundy Bred from selected terroirs and plots where the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes are drawing their Burgundian blood line, Métisse's (literally half-blood or half-breed) personality comes from even quantities of the "kingl" grapes from Burgundy. With such a lineage, Métisse is not just a Crémant but as the richness and complexity of great sparkling wines.
Distinguishing from a regular Crémant might prove to
be a challenge in a glass, but its flask's sensual
shapes will leave you with no doubt about its charming
side.
Its nose boasts the fruity sugary notes of raisins
entangled with hints of a sea front minerality after a
few swirls. With time notes of fruits such as dried
apricots, licorice and warm fresh bread will tickle the
nostrils only to bring you to the next step.
We are now entering a world of finesse with tiny
bubbles teasing both the tongue and the palate
supporting an elegant freshness quickly leaving a
fruity roundness in the spotlight for a mouth watering
lasting experience.
We are now entering the land of fine pairing, the one
where a Crémant isn't just a "serve chilled aperitif"
but a beverage of choice to support the whole meal.
Its multi faceted personality will expose itself with time
and a couple more degrees to the patient wine tasters.
Risking Eggs Bénédicte or playing it safe with a
"Foie Gras mi-cuit au sel" sure will delight your guests.
